Dr. Nils Plähn (MSc in Physics, Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg) completed his PhD at the University of Bern in the field of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging, focusing on the development of mathematical models and the analysis of complex, large-scale datasets using numerical optimisation methods.

Nils joined Valucor AG in February 2026 and is pursuing his professional qualification as an Actuary (SAA).
At Valucor, he supports projects in the areas of SST, Solvency II, reserve calculation, and regulatory reporting.
